Initial Evaluation
Your Initial Evaluation is a comprehensive diagnostic assessment with an emphasis on you, as a whole person, and with your goals in mind.
My goal as therapist is to help you find solutions to symptoms and problems that haven't resolved, or are keeping you from enjoying your life fully.
Sometimes our complex bodies need extra hands to help it return to its "normal". If needed, I can help you develop your "healing team". I am happy to work with your other team members as we focus together on getting you back into your life again.
75-90 minute Evaluation: $140
Physical Therapy Follow-Up Appointments
Follow-up appointments help you move through your healing periods by offering you consistency of care in a timely matter so you continue moving forward with your therapeutic gains.
In our fast-paced lifestyles, we tend to forget that the body does not heal at the same fast rate, but at its pre-programmed, physiological healing time. With therapy, though, we can remove obstacles to healing and add beneficial techniques to help the body move through its processes more quickly. These therapies may include manual therapy, education, guidance, exercise instruction, or referring you to an another practitioner for supplemental healing therapies.
As the body heals, it's needs for healing change as well. Therefore, your follow up appointments will look different every time. Each treatment is tailored to what your body needs, on each particular visit. I do not use protocols nor "cookbook" techniques often used in other clinics.

Pelvic Floor Therapy
Craniosacral therapy is a light and gentle technique that works with the nervous system. Developed in the 1970's by osteopath John Upleger, D.O. at Michigan State University, it is an excellent way to decrease injury-related anxiety/depression, decrease the physical and/or emotional stress on the body, increase spinal and joint motion, while decreasing overall pain.
It is a hands-on, non-invasive, gentle technique that addresses restrictions in the joints, the connective tissues, and the nerves of the body.
I began adding craniosacral and visceral therapy techniques to my physical therapy practice in 2002. Combining the craniosacral and visceral therapy techniques to my original orthopedic techniques was a 'game changer' for my practice. My patients report feeling better faster and reports being able to do more than they were before the 'combo treatments'.
Patients often ask me if the treatment is doing anything since it is so gentle, by the end of the session, the patient is often surprised by how different they feel, reporting feeling lighter, more grounded, with less pain, and greater ease of movement.
I recommend patients plan on a restful few hours following their craniosacral therapy appointment to allow the body to relax into their "new normal" , to allow the body to integrate the new changes, and to get the best benefit out of the treatment. This is particularly important for those just starting their treatments.
